Searching for interesting and challenging Music 2 Australian Music

For this assessment: I was very much focused on finding material that would be very engaging for students, that would work brilliantly together and would compliment each other being superb examples of Australian Music of the last 25 years. I searched and searched in a variety of libraries, repertoire lists, online material and performances of scores till I was satisfied with the chosen artists, their contribution and impact on Australian Music and this topic for Music 2 students.
Each work is exceptional in its own right, and what ties them together besides their style in the Australian music context is the fact that each work was inspired by other cultural works, traditional influences and methods of composition which are illuminated in these works in new and exciting ways. These are fantastic examples for students to gain compositional knowledge and inspiration in creating their own works and pouring their own influences into their musical pieces whether short or 2 minutes in length.
